KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia is offering its streamyx GradPack package, which targets college and university students, until Dec 31.

Subscribers will enjoy broadband service at a lower rate, as well as receive some free goodies, according to the telecommunications giant.

GradPack offers two Internet service packages � 384Kbps (kilobits per second) for RM50 a month or 1Mbps (megabit per second) for RM100 monthly.

The students who subscribe will get a free modem, and a streamyx Zone ID which grants them wireless access at more than 1,300 hotspots nationwide.

TM is also waiving its RM75 activation and RM88 installation fees for GradPack users.

Also, subscribers of the 1Mbps package will get access to music portal Hypptunes, video service HyppTV and the Rose Online Evolution massively multiplayer online role-playing game for three months.

In addition to that, they will get a TM�Manchester United special-edition T-shirt for free.

Students who want to subscribe to GradPack must present their student ID at any TMpoint, TMpoint Authorised Dealership (TAD) outlet, or TM authorised reseller nationwide.

This will create a backup of your registry which can be restored again.

Click on Start button in the taskbar and navigate to Run. Type "regedit" without quotes in it and press enter. Now on the left panel, navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Expand it and navigate to SYSTEM. Then navigate to CurrentControlSet. In it expand NetBT. Navigate to Parameters. Now in the right panel locate TransportBindName. Just double click it and delete the default value which currently is Devices.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> System --> CurrentControlSet --> NetBT --> Parameters --> TransportBindName

Now navigate again to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. In it locate Softwares. Now go to Microsoft and expand it. Locate Ole in it. Now in the right panel just locate the value EnableDCOM. The default value in would be Y. Double click it and make the default value N. Now just close Registry Editor and restart the machine. Connect to Internet and voila the net now no longer gets disconnected.

You could also have changed the values of NetBIOS but generally changing the values of these two parameters would eliminate the problem for all. You would not be required to change those values.

Resident Evil 4 is a horror FPS game that does things differently compared to the other Resident Evil games.

Yes, that is true but they have been replaced by something so original (/sarcasm) that it will make you think, 'Wow, why didn't I think of that.' Possessed humans, fully equipped with pitchforks, axes, knifes, other whatnot that has a sharp end and dynamite sticks.

Gone are the absolutely horrible (and somehow awesome) 'frozen' camera angles. Instead of the camera pointing at you in some awkward position, the camera is in an over-the-shoulder position which is alright but it seems like its been done, which it has, many times before.

Almost the entire game is an escort mission. I hate escort missions especially if they make the NPC who's following you a complete idiot. Unfortunately sometimes in this game, your partner does something so stupid that it makes you not want to care about her and just push her into a mob of charging bloodthirsty villagers.

The guns in this game range from pathetic to freaking' awesome. You start off with a handgun and, if you are like me and chose the easy mode (which I'm pretty sure is Wii exclusive), a shotgun. You eventually get a sniper rifle that is hopeless in a close-up Internet Services a rocket launcher and a few different types of grenades like the hand and flash grenade.

The enemies are good and bad at the same time. The case for the game says that the enemies work together but I've never seen them once perform this feat. The enemies react differently to where you shoot them. Shoot them in the feet and they stumble to the ground. Shoot them in the arm and they drop their weapon. Shoot them in the head and they die, sometimes.

Ammo is everywhere in this game. They are in boxes, the enemies drop it but you can't buy them from the salesman who looks like one of 'them' and will turn on you at any moment. When you run out of ammo, you are screwed. This time you have a knife if you run out of ammo so you aren't as screwed as you would Free Broadband if you ran out of ammo in any other Resident Evil game.

The whole game takes some advantage to the Wii's motion sensing capabilities. You aim using the wiimote, slice the knife by shaking the wiimote and that's actually it but I don't blame the lack of motion sensing abilities because that's really all you can do with it.

In short, this is another Resident Evil game, just revamped with a whole new way to play. I highly suggest buying it and keeping it.

A friend contacted me with a networking problem the other day that
I thought I would share with you. Maybe you have experienced it as
well. And you know the definition of experience right?
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted!

My friend and his wife had gone wireless. They bought new laptops
with built-in wireless (WIFI) and wanted to begin to roam around
the homeplace untethered by LAN cables while connected to the Internet.

So in addition to the laptops they came home with a LinkSys wireless
router to provide the necessary access point for the laptops.
The guy at the computer store said it would work like a charm.
All they had to do was plug in the wireless Wireless Adsl Modem Router and go.
After rebooting, powering off and on, and calling the computer store
all with no success, they figured they had nothing to lose by calling me.
I haven't figured out whether I'm flattered or insulted.

Nonetheless, I was able to help because I had experience (see definition above).

Let's start with a little background. As you probably know, to send and receive information
on the Internet, your computer has to have an Internet Protocol (IP) address.
This IP address is a part of the Internet's Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).
These addresses, which uniquely identify devices on the Internet,
are given out in blocks to Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA).
Your ISP then redistributes these addresses to its customers. You, in other words!
I haven't heard of any ISP that gives out multiple IP addresses per account.
Usually if you have one digital subscriber line (DSL) or one cable-TV Internet connection you get
one IP address. And even then, the IP is frequently not permanently assigned to you.
The ISP will let you use it while you're online and then give it to someone
else when you disconnect (i.e. turn off your DSL or cable modem). This process
is called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). internet speed tester this DHCP.

So how is it that at your home you've been able to have more than one computer
with only one IP address?

Well two things come into play.
First the IANA has reserved the
following three blocks of the IP address space for private internets:


10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 (10/8 prefix)
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 (172.16/12 prefix)
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255 (192.168/16 prefix)

Secondly there's another protocol called Network Address Translation (NAT) involved.
The private IP address mentioned can be used freely and the Internet system
should ignore any those addresses if they wander out on the information superhighway.

But your local router listens for those addresses. And if there are any packets, as they're
sometimes called, with a private (or internal) IP address headed out onto the Internet,
your router will substitute its own IP address that it acquired from your ISP
(this is the Network Address Translation).
When information returns your router will get it first and keep track of where to
send it back to you via your private (or internal) IP address.
Your router is able to do this even if you have multiple computers on your
private (or internal) network.

Now, getting back to our problem. You may have noticed that your wired PC gets one of
these NAT private addresses such as 192.168.1.100 when you turn it on. Routers
request a real address from your ISP (many times via DHCP). And then your
router may give you an private IP address via its own DHCP server. When it gives you
the IP address it also tells you to send your packets to it first. It becomes
your Satellite Broadband so that it can translate the internal private IP address to the real
IP address. So the gateway IP address many (but not all) routers choose by default is 192.168.1.1
and especially LinkSys routers.

But here's what happened to my friend. They already had a wired router (a Netopia) that
was getting a real Internet address and using a private internal gateway IP address of
192.168.1.1 for the computers on the wired network. When the new LinkSys wireless router
was plugged into the Netopia, it asked for an IP address via DHCP. It was give an IP address of 192.168.1.114
by the Netopia. And then the LinkSys set itself up as gateway IP address 192.168.1.1 for the wireless
PCs that connected. Now you might think this would work since there were two separate private
networks in fact. But as it turns out, routers are pretty smart, but apparently not that
smart. The LinkSys wireless router received outbound packets at gateway IP address 192.168.1.1 but
got mixed up trying to forward them onto the Netopia router which also had a gateway
IP address of 192.168.1.1 that it was using.

The solution? Using the LinkSys browser-based home web hosting utility I changed the default gateway IP
address to 192.168.2.1 for the LinkSys.

Now I ignored some IP addressing issues such as subnets and masks.

Researchers studied the driving skills of 40 volunteers, who followed a virtual car in a driving simulator, which was programmed to brake at random. ==========The Trouble with Traditional Methods==========

Convention has it that dogs should wear flea collars. If that doesn't work, sprinkle her with flea powder. And, of course, fumigate the house and yard. We've already discussed one problem with that approach, which is that fleas become immune to all pesticides sooner or later, so you must continually change products. But the other problem is more serious. It's the fact that all pesticides are poisons. They weaken your dog's immune system, making him an even tastier target for fleas. And they can make him sick in other ways too.

Poison is poison, no matter how you package it. (Yes the "spot-on" products are full of toxins too) And in your fight to eradicate fleas, you'll end up spreading poisons all over your yard, around your home, and --through his skin--into your dog's vital organs. Sure, no more fleas, but at what cost to everyone's health?

========So, what's a dog lover to do?===========

Fortunately, there's an answer. What most of us aren't told is that there are natural substances that fleas can't tolerate, and that are actually lethal to fleas. One of these is call "diatomaceous earth", or "DE".

DE is composed of finely milled fossilized shells of minuscule organisms called diatoms. The microscopically fine, sharp edges dry out the insects' outer shell on contact and fleas will dehydrate and die within hours.

The insects also die when they eat the dust. And it works on lots of other pests besides fleas! What's great about DE is that your dog (or cat) can eat it and it won't hurt her at all. And since it works by dehydration, fleas can't become immune to it

DE can be purchased as a powder and sprinkled on your pet and around your home. Don't leave out that most important step! Sprinkle the floors, furniture and carpeting. Sprinkle your dog's bedding and any place he likes to "hang out", since that's where the most fleas will accumulate. Be sure to get underneath
the furniture, because fleas like to hide out in dark places.

While vacuuming and washing the floors often is helpful, unless you can do it daily, it won't be enough. You should also know that fleas that get sucked into the vacuum bag can live and reproduce there, so be sure to vacuum up some DE powder too, to kill off fleas in the bag.

===========What about my dog's irritated skin?===========

All that scratching and those powders can leave a dog's skin pretty irritated. Well, Mother Nature has something for that too...

Neem seed oil is a very bitter oil with a garlic/sulfur smell and contains vitamin E and other essential amino acids. It's completely natural, and has been used as a botanical pesticide for years. When used on fleas and other pests, it impairs their development. Added bonuses are an antibacterial property, and a soothing effect on the skin.( Humans have been know to use Neem oil as an anti-arthritis and anti-wrinkle formula!)

Comb the oil through your dog's coat with a flea comb to help distribute it to both coat and skin. Now, your dog is not only free of fleas, but her skin feels better too.

Essential oils are another natural and effective way of repelling fleas. Cedar, tea tree, citronella, eucalyptus and pennyroyal, (the last two are toxic to cats) are all repulsive to fleas and can be obtained at most stores that sell herbal remedies. There are also essential oil blends containing Neem oil. Just dab a drop of the essential oil on your dog's collar, and mist it brunei malaysia diluted with water-- onto her coat. Or, buy a pre-formulated spray and mist her to drive fleas away.

If your pet is already suffering from flea bites and itchy skin, herbal sprays will help soothe irritated skin. They contain aloe, which we all know is great for burns and hot spots!

You can sprinkle DE powder here too, or apply it with a sprayer. Another option is to use "beneficial ematodes". Nematodes are microscopic soil worms that attack white grubs, fleas and crickets. In order for the nematodes to survive, the soil must remain relatively moist and watered at least twice weekly. Beneficial nematodes do not harm plants, animals, humans or birds. Concentrate your spraying within 50 feet of where your dog "hangs out", since that's where the most fleas are found.

That way, you'll be sure you catch all fleas that survived as eggs and pupae, by being ready for them as they enter the vulnerable stages of their life cycle -- larval and adult fleas.

Guanajuato, Mexico Tourist Season 2008

Finally, I would sit in the plazas and listen to loud bellowings come out of restaurants, "I ordered a taco!" or "You call this a taco?" or "Don't you have Taco Bell here?" It always was loud protestations about tacos.

I would make many minor observations too. Mostly these were carefully scribbled notes of how American Tourists would pitch public fits over where or what to eat, where to go next, or wailings to the point of almost swooning when they exited their hotels to discover that they streamyx combo 60 not find anyone who spoke English. Sometimes I could hear them ask one another, "Is everyone here really Mexican?"

This year, the difference seems overwhelmingly to be that they hired English-Speaking Mexicans to take them by the hand all over the city. Everywhere I looked I saw happy-faced American Gringos frolicking up and down the streets of Guanajuato holding hands with their bilingual tour guides and all merrily singing Canta no Llores.

Is this a good omen of many more Tourist Seasons to come? I don't know. But, as always, I will be here to watch and record from park benches, small cafes, small darkened corners in bars and grills, surreptitiously making notes for the Guanajuato Tourist Season 2009.

This past fall I was able to take off for a few days to relax and I didn't take a computer with me on the trip. These mini netbooks are ideal for travel because they are much smaller than standard laptops and are very easy to pack and carry.
